When a person enters the door and applies force by pushing on the door wing it activates an AC motor that assists in the rotation of the door. Once force is removed (person stops pushing) or the door reaches the home position (X) the motor disengages, and the motor stops and the door does not rotate.

  • Automatic Quarter pointing – If the door is out of position (+) for example after 15 seconds if there is no one present in the door sensor zone the door will rotate automatically to the home position (X), Quarter-point.
  • The door is driven by a 1/3 HP AC motor and helical bevel gearbox.
  • Control of the motor is through a frequency inverter and programmable logic controller.
  • The activation is by a sliding linear target and proximity sensors that detects when there is force applied to the door wing.
  • All manual revolving doors with this feature will require a 12” high canopy and will be constructed using one piece aluminum extrusion for painted and anodized doors. Clad door will require a different construction method.
  • The soffit ceiling sheets are “pie” segments for easy access and adjustment to the motor and controls and for field assembly of the door.
  • This system can also accommodate actuators to lock the door wings if required.
  • Complies with ANSI standards for all CJ Rush Manual doors with power assist.

Balanced and Specialty Swing Doors

CJ Rush offers balanced, pivot and hinged doors in a variety of finishes marked by the quality craftsmanship for which CJ Rush is known.

Pivot doors are an excellent selection for applications that require a large opening with minimal floor space interruption. Pins are located at the top and bottom of the frame, allowing the door to pivot. Each door’s pivot point is custom located by request; center and off-center pivot locations are available (subject to engineering approval).

Hinged doors are the most recognizable, traditional door on the market. Typically marked with two to three hinges attached on the vertical long edge of the frame, hinge doors can be built to swing in or out based on preference or feasibility.

Balanced doors offer superior performance as compared to conventional hinged doors that require more force or strength to open. Balanced doors assist opening in specific site circumstances of wind tunnel or stack effect. The design uses the differential of interior and exterior air pressure to facilitate opening of the door. The result: less force or strength is required to open the door and the movement is well controlled.

Each door is customized to meet your unique requirements and manufactured at our North American facility.

10 Series: Wide stile; 1/4″ tempered glass required
30 Series: Narrow stile; 1/2″ tempered glass required
60 Series: Top and bottom rails only – all glass look; 1/2″ tempered glass required
